Data collected and purposes.

This site collects personal data only when you actively provide it, through the contact form. No advertising cookies are used, no audience measurement tool is installed, and your navigation from page to page is not tracked. One single exception, described in detail below: the contact page loads an anti-bot mechanism provided by Cloudflare, which analyses technical signals from your browser. The remaining traces are Apache's technical logs (IP address, user-agent, requested page, timestamp), kept by the host O2switch for security and debugging purposes.

Contact form.

Data collected: name, email address, organisation (optional), phone (optional), subject of the request, message. Purpose: to allow contact and follow-up on your request. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form. Recipient: the data controller only (TAFAT Partners). Retention period: 3 years from our last exchange. No marketing use, no resale, no transfer to third parties. On submission, the form goes through the anti-bot check described below.

Anti-spam protection and transfer outside the EU.

In the interest of transparency, here is the only processing on this site that sends data outside the European Union.

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot mechanism. On the contact page only — and on no other page of this site — a script provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) is loaded in your browser. It analyses technical signals (browser characteristics, interactions) to tell a human visitor from an automated submission. When you send the message, your IP address and a verification token are sent to Cloudflare, which replies only "valid" or "not valid".

Purpose: to prevent automated spam submissions. Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the service, the mechanism being strictly necessary for the form to work.

This processing involves a data transfer to the United States. Cloudflare, Inc. adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and offers standard contractual clauses. Turnstile is designed not to track visitors across sites, and this data serves no advertising purpose, neither on my side nor on Cloudflare's. See their privacy policy.

If you would rather avoid this processing, email me directly at pro [at] yassirkazar.com — the address is written this way to keep it out of reach of harvesting bots, simply replace "[at]" with "@". No third-party script is involved then.

Hosting and data location.

The site is hosted by O2switch (SARL, 222-224 boulevard Gustave Flaubert, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand, France). The data you send — form messages, subscriptions to publication notifications — is stored on its servers in France. No transfer outside the European Union takes place, with the sole exception of the anti-bot verification described above.

Cookies.

No analytics, advertising or profiling cookies are set. The site does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or equivalents. The only items that may be stored in your browser are strictly technical: the PHP session cookie, and whatever the contact page's anti-bot mechanism needs to keep for the duration of the check. They serve no tracking purpose and require no prior consent.

Your rights.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights over your personal data: right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure, right to portability, right to object, right to restriction of processing, right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, use the contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Automated profiling.

No profiling and no automated decision producing legal effects concerning you is carried out by this site. The contact form's anti-bot check is the only automated assessment: it may refuse to send a message if it judges the submission automated. If that happens to you wrongly, email me directly at pro [at] yassirkazar.com (replace "[at]" with "@") — a human will read it.

Changes.

This policy may evolve to reflect changes in the site's features or regulatory developments. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. For people subscribed to notifications about my upcoming publications, any substantial change will be notified by email.
